Union Pacific No. 844
This "living legend" was the last steam engine built for Union Pacific Railroad and was delivered in 1944. As steam power was phased out in favor of diesel this locomtive was saved from scrap in 1960 and has become Union Pacific's ambassador of goodwill, making appearances throughout the U.S. as an excursion train.
